NEW YORK, NY– (Marketwired – October 13, 2015) – Gatewood Capital Partners, a private equity firm with a dedicated investment vehicle focused on seeding new private equity managers and making strategic investments in the management companies of established firms, announced today that Alan Weinfeld, CFA, has joined the firm as a Partner.
Mr. Weinfeld has primary responsibility for the fundraising and marketing team at Gatewood and will play a key role in the fundraising efforts of Gatewood’s sponsored and seeded Fund relationships. Mr. Weinfeld has over 17 years of dedicated fundraising and Investor Relations experience, with a specific focus on private equity and mezzanine funds.

Prior to joining Gatewood, Mr. Weinfeld was Managing Director and Head of Business Development at GoldPoint Partners, one of New York Life’s private equity managers. Previously Alan held executive level investor relations and private equity fundraising positions at Franklin Templeton Investments. Mr. Weinfeld graduated with distinction from Tulane University and is a CFA charterholder.
